ratio: 60% | I’ve just moved to Farringdon from the West end and I am having great fun exploring the multitude of bars and eateries in the area. Of course there are the chains like the Hogs Head, Wetherspoons, Pizza Express which aim to suit all tastes and styles.
The people of Farringdon are quite a breed apart from the West End Crowd, there are fewer tourists for a start! Most are professionals, such as myself and along with some of the more adventurous of my colleagues we have found a number of places that are great for one reason or another.
THE LEAVING EVENT
Barbuska on the Corner of Saffron Hll.
The place oozes class. Soft lights, comfy poofs and couches and a huge square bar that give enough room for all to prop. The beers are your standard affair but they quite happily serve Leffe and Starapromean. The DJ starts to play after 8pm and the place heaves to the sound of classic dance tunes and more urban upbeat tunes. The food menu is limited but what they serve is both mouth watering and filling.
THE LUNCHTIME DRINK
There are two I have fallen in love with
THE WELL and
THE SLAUGHTERED LAMB
The former is cramped two floor affair with outdoor seating and sleek black interior. Food is not bad but use this as mainly a drinking joint. The best bit about this place are the fish tanks in the toilets!

Good for both lunchtime and evening drinking. Huge couches and high backed chairs to slop down on. The food menu is limited, mainly fish and sausages but they serve the BEST calarmari this side of the Azures! Go to eat early or you’ll be waiting a while. | | | | |
