Why online dating?
You may be new to this, you may be in two minds whether to put a profile online and give online dating a go. Well don't worry, you're not alone.
There are now more singles than ever. You may not meet people through work (you may not want to date your colleagues!), you may not be the kind of person who meets people in bars or clubs... the growth of the Internet has given rise to a new vehicle for meeting people...
Online dating is fast becoming one of the main ways for people to meet partners and widen their circle of friends, offering as it does a wide pool of people members would otherwise not meet and the discretion to contact members in privacy. Where once it had a stigma, now it's becoming commonplace. Online dating is coming out!

Online Safety & Etiquette
By and large most of the people on sites like ours are normal people - not nutters, not scammers, not married people looking for a bit on the side. They're genuine singles looking to meet someone. However, as in all walks of life, online and offline, there will be people who are less than truthful - this may range from someone telling fibs about their height or uploading an old (more flattering!) photo to people purporting to be single when they're not. We always advise you to exercise caution and common sense, just as you would when meeting someone in a bar. Get to know a little bit about them by exchanging messages through the site, don't rush to pass on your contact details and be suspicious of anyone who asks for them immediately. Look out for things which don't ring true. We won't ever pass on your contact details and you should be careful about doing so.
